According to Bloomberg, the smart ring manufacturer, Laura, is thinking of starting the first public collection in the United States as soon as September, with up to $3 billion in financing. If this programme is advanced, the company, with its headquarters in San Francisco and Finland, could have valued over $16 billion.
This means that the valuation of Oura will increase significantly over a year ago. In September 2025, when Laura completed the $875 million E round of financing, it was valued at $10.9 billion. At the time, the participants included Fidelity, the issuance of NIQ, Whale Rock and Atreides.
Size of financing and sales unit arrangements
According to Bloomberg, the current investors are expected to sell a significant share of the issue. This means that not only corporate fund-raising, but also an important window for early shareholders to deliver.
Currently, Oura has not disclosed specific pricing areas, distribution shares and listed locations for IPO. The company had previously announced in May that it had submitted the listing application in secret in preparation for the subsequent launch of the public release.
Valuation continues to increase over previous round
If $16 billion were to be found on the final valuation station, Ora would go further from $10.9 billion in less than a year. This change shows that capital markets are still willing to offer higher pricing to companies that have the capacity to consume e-brand and subscribe to health services.
Our current workforce is over 900. The product path has also shifted from an early preference for small biotracing users to a more popular market for sleep, rehabilitation and health management.
Wearing a track to compete for heat.
There has been a marked increase in competition in the smart wearing market over the past two years. Samsung has launched Galaxy Ring two years ago, directly into the smart ring track. At the same time, the Whoop is expanding its product orientation to athletes and young male users.
During the past year, Whoop has incorporated health functions such as hormone tracking and blood testing, covering the period of menopause and thyroid health. The company's valuation also rose to $10 billion in March of this year. The expansion of the Ora is similar, moving from a breakdown of health hardware to a broader consumer health brand.
From the point of view of time, if Laura completes the listing push in September, the market will see the issue as an important pricing test for consumer-grade health hardware companies in the open market.
