HashKey Exchange has begun to distribute, through the Earn channel, a monetized monetization fund in Franklin Templeton, grBENJI, to allow platform clients access to United States Government debt assets in block chain.

The product corresponds to Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Limited Fund, which invests mainly in United States Government currency market instruments and United States dollar cash assets, and returns usually follow the short-end United States Treasury debt interest rate. Franklin Templeton managed assets of approximately $1.8 trillion and launched the Fund ' s monetized version in 2021.

Open only to professional investors

At present, this product is intended only for professional investors and is not available to the public in Hong Kong. The Chief Executive Officer of HashKey Exchange BG, Ru Haiyang, stated that the call had been made in response to the agency ' s demand for real-life asset-revenue products.

The rate of return at this stage is about 3.6 per cent.

According to RWA.xyz, the BENJI tokens had a return of approximately 3.6 per cent on 7 and 30 days, with a net value of US$ 1 per piece and a slightly higher number of holders than 1,100. However, there are differences in the public statistical calibre of the size of the Fund, depending on whether the statistics are a single currency or an entire product series.

  • The return was about 3.6 per cent on 7 and 30 days.
  • Net value per piece is about $1
  • More than 1,100 holders

Distribution channels continue to expand

According to Chetan Karkhanis, the head of the Franklin Dunpton Digital Asset Operations, the company plans to gradually expand the number of monetized products beyond the monetization fund and to promote distribution through HashKey ' s platform network in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai and Bermuda.

In May this year, Franklin Templeton also entered into a strategic collaboration with the Kraken parent company Payward, which included monetized shares, hosting and proactive management of revenue products. Under that arrangement, BENJI would have access to Kraken as a collateral and cash management tool for institutional clients.

In addition to HashKey, the company had previously cooperated with Binance to introduce the token into BNB Chain and with DigiFT in May and with MoonPay Trade in June. The latter allows the agency to convert the stable currency directly into the share of the fund.

Additional information:Franklin Dunpton completed the acquisition of 250 Digital in June and disclosed that the trade counter contained BENJI tokens, showing that it had used the fund for partial M & As payments.
