Luffu, created by the co-founders of Fitbit, James Park and Eric Friedman, publishes a cash hardware product, Luffu Link. This is a health and safety bracelet that supports LTE, and is intended for family caregivers, older persons living independently, and users who wish to keep their health in mind.
At present, Luffu Link has been opened for booking at a pre-sale price of $250, and delivery is expected in early 2027. According to the company, its official retail price is projected at $300.
Connect to AI application
This bracelet is not just basic health tracking. Luffu had introduced the same name application earlier this year, using AI to collate family members ' health and daily information, learn daily patterns and alert when there were significant changes.
Luffu Link is positioned to extend these data collection capabilities to the wristband equipment. Users can record medications, symptoms, diets, emotions and alerts through key voice, which are then consolidated by application and placed in a home-care setting for linkage analysis.
Support positioning and one-key help
The equipment sustainably captures a number of common health data, including activity volume, sleep, static heart rate, heat consumption, heart rate variability and breathing frequency, for the purpose of identifying daily patterns and long-term changes.
Luffu Link also has GPS and LTE functions in addition to health monitoring. Even when the mobile phone is not around, the person who wears it may send a request for help to the intended contact. The company stated that the LTE data services were already included in the equipment programme and that there was no need for a separate operator package.
For example, a user can speak directly about an emergency, and the system sends voice content to a family or a trusted contact along with location, electricity and some health data. The equipment also supports the completion of short reports by fast double-clicking, without the need to call or text.
Unscreened design for home care
Luffu defines the product as a wearable device for daily health and family connections, rather than a simple fitness tracker. According to the company, the unscreened design of the bracelet is intended to reduce the feeling of being continuously monitored by more equipment remaining in the back.
Looks like Luffu Link has also deliberately weakened the traditional wearable style of equipment, which is closer to design. The current product provides three colours: halo gold, oryx black and stering blue.
Additional information:Luffu also disclosed that a home-based facility was being developed to further extend the smart home care system from the mobile end and wristband to the home scene.
