Indian businesses and consumers continue to rely heavily on telephone communication, which allows voice AI to maintain a strong demand for passenger service, outreach and process automation. Ringg recently obtained Peak XV Partners additional investment to show the speed at which capital is still being held in the voice intelligence of the company.
Financing to $15.5 million
Ringg announced additional investment of $10 million for Peak XV Partners as an extension of round A financing. The company had completed the $5.5 million A round earlier this year, and the total of the current round had increased to $15.5 million.
The company currently handles about 20 million calls per month. Ringg, originally known as DesiVocal, had the main text to voice, but since self-study of voice models was costly, it had shifted to voice AI smart body service for businesses.
Business focus to complex scenes
According to Sidharth Tripathi, co-founder of Ringg, the company's early lead in high-frequency, low-complex tasks, such as exterior calls, wire screening and loan collection. Such operations are more prone to price competition, and as a result, firms have begun to move to more complex and higher business processes.
At present, Ringg focuses on the promotion of medical appointments, retrieving of power suppliers ' discards, and the opening of accounts and the auditing of KYC for financial applications. Tripathi states that Practo has access to Ringg ' s voice intelligence at 1200 clinics for patient appointments and follow-up to visits.
From phone to multiple channels.
Telephone operations still account for more than 70 per cent of Ringg ' s income, but the company has begun to expand to channels such as chat and whatsApp. For customers like Shell, Ringg is also processing support requests based on browsers.
According to the company, its goal is not just to provide voice robots, but to build a platform of intelligent bodies that can directly perform their tasks. At this stage, Ringg is more like a layering system, which distributes tasks to different models based on different scenarios.
India’s Market Competition Rising
Ringg's clients are mainly located in India, with a small number coming from the Middle East and the United States. Instead of focusing on the direct sale of United States enterprises, the company wants to work with the Global Capacity Centre in India to provide an automated support capability for multinational enterprises and to combine it with manual services.
Peak XV believes that Ringg started early on with model development, giving it a certain advantage in complex processes such as business establishment, L1 and L2 passenger service. However, the Indian voice AI track competition has risen significantly, and model manufacturers, programming platforms and vertical application companies are competing for business customers.
Additional information:To date, the total number of Ringg employees stands at 40, with more than 15 new recruits over the past three months, and the recruitment of front-line engineers with engineering and product capabilities, as well as researchers who reduce the cost of operating the model, continues.
