According to TechCrunch, citing sources of information, Anthropic has entered into a computational lease agreement of approximately $45 billion with the British AI Infrastructure Corporation Nscale. This cooperation, which will provide computing resources through the Nvidia new generation Vera Rubin chip system, is expected to support Anthropic services beginning at the end of 2027.

This means that Anthropic is still adding to the calculator reserves to cope with competition with peers like OpenAI. Over the past few months, the company has signed a number of successive large infrastructure cooperations, focusing on targeting longer-term and more stable training and reasoning resources.

Nscale provides Vera Rubin.

Nscale, a British AI infrastructure company, was established in 2024 for a short period of time, but has worked with companies such as Microsoft. According to the source, Nscale will provide Anthropic with calculations based on the Nvidia Vera Rubin system.

Vera Rubin is considered a new generation of Nvidia high-end AI chip platforms. The report mentions that the system is operated in concert with six different chips and is one of the most advanced chip structures at present.

It's been growing for almost eight months.

Over the past eight months or so, Anthropic has significantly accelerated the pace of calculus procurement, reaching cloud service providers, chip companies and data centre operators.

Earlier, in May, Anthropic disclosed that he was working with SpaceX on a massive calculus. Related resources came from SpaceX data centres, which reported providing approximately $1.25 billion per month in computing capacity.

Amazon and Google expanded

In addition to the new agreement, Anthropic is expanding its cooperation with the existing technology giants. In April, the company announced a further deepening of its cooperation with the Amazon, with an additional 5 giva calculator access. In the same month, Anthropic also expanded its cooperation with Google and Optical and continued to increase its availability.

At the industry level, Anthropic is not an example. Google, OpenAI and Meta are also continuously competing for chips, data centres and electricity. As the demand for model training and reasoning continues to rise, computing is becoming a central part of the head AI competition.
