CSCI announced that in the coming months, it would provide Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) transactions to retail clients in the United States through Schwab Crypto. The company disclosed that the date of the specific access had not been published, nor did it state whether the three tokens would be opened simultaneously.
Increase the number of traded varieties to 5
With the addition of these three tokens, the direct transaction assets supported by the Schwab Cripto project will increase from two to five. The platform opened only bitcoin and Ethera in 2026. CSCI indicated that the new target was based primarily on client needs and prioritized more mature digital assets.
The company did not disclose more detailed screening criteria and did not indicate whether the new assets would have separate transaction restrictions. Joe Vietri, Director of Digital Asset Operations, stated that the Platform hoped to provide clients with more digital asset allocation options within the existing investment and banking services system.
The current pattern is still dominated by the hosting account
Cassandra currently charges 0.75 per cent for each encrypted transaction. Customer assets are held by Charles Schwab Premier Bank and Paxos is responsible for transaction execution and sub-custody. Users can view encrypted assets in Schwab.com, Schwab Mobile and thinkerswim together with shares, bonds and ETF holdouts.
However, this service still does not support full chain functionality. According to the article, the platform ' s start-up phase was not open for external recharge. In its July financial update, KSA stated that it had started testing the encrypted asset transfer function and that it would in the future allow customers to transfer eligible assets between voucher accounts and external platforms.
By the end of the second quarter, the size of the customer ' s assets for CSFM was $13.1 trillion, with 39.8 million active brokerage accounts. The article states that this is not the same as the size of the funds that have direct access to the encrypted market, but it means that the company has a large potential user base.
After the news came out, SOL was ahead of the increase.
After the news was released, SOL performed the strongest. Reports indicate that SOL rose at one point to about US$ 104.84, with 24 hours of growth of over 9 per cent, and that the turnover ranged from US$ 95.23 to US$ 105.55, close to a 70 per cent increase. AVAX grew by about 2% short-term after the news, and LINK also increased by over 2% and 24 hours by over 5% during the same period.
The article also mentions that the rise in SOL on that day took place against the backdrop of the overall strength of various mainstream encrypted assets, so that price changes do not necessarily have to be driven solely by the news of CSW.
Consultants are also in preparation
In addition to retail clients, CSCI is assessing the provision of digital asset operations to registered investment advisers. It was mentioned that the company was considering the introduction of spot transactions, transfers and hosting services for consultants by mid-2027, but the timing could still be adjusted.
Additional information:Prior to the roll-out of direct encrypted transactions, its clients were primarily exposed through ETF, futures and thematic funds. Company management had previously stated that the size of the products traded through the encryption exchange held by clients through the platform was approximately $25 billion.
