Foreign media reports that during the Bitcoin Asia event in Hong Kong, the founder of Bianan Zhao said that bitcoin would eventually be more important than gold, and that this change could occur in the next round of cattle markets. In his view, the current resistance was not technical, but rather the system of gold holding and valuation that existed in sovereign institutions and large countries.
The transfer of sovereign funds will take time.
Zhao Chang Peng was asked at the scene whether Bitcoin would indicate that he was “very certain” when it exceeded gold at the sovereignty level. He stated that many large countries had established mechanisms for the storage, hosting and valuation of gold, and that the transfer of the system to bitcoin would not be completed soon.
However, he believed that the process was already under way. According to him, the market value gap between gold and bitcoin had been reduced to about 10 times, so that bitcoin was likely to catch up “promptly”.
It is recommended that the Government allocate its reserves at market value
Zhao Chang Peng also indicated that he would normally recommend to some Governments to establish a secure asset reserve and that the method of allocation was not complex. According to his description, if the stable currency were removed and the top five encrypted assets were configured at market value, the result would be broadly:
- Bitcoin is about 50%.
- It's about 10% to 20%.
- The rest includes assets such as BNB
This part of the presentation reflects more of its personal views and is consistent with its long-standing position in favour of an encrypted reserve configuration.
AI Agent or first fixed currency
In addition to bitcoin, Zhao Chang Peng talks about the combination of AI and encrypted assets. He anticipated that AI agents would trade in a stable currency in the future and that it would be easier to access bitcoin once the system accepted it.
He also stated that he had discussed a token distribution programme with several head AI companies. These companies face high capital expenditure pressures, particularly in the areas of computing and data centre construction. According to him, from $30 billion to $50 billion might be needed for a Giva calculus, while some of the enterprises would like to build hundreds of Giva in the coming years, and the financial needs could reach trillions of dollars.
In this context, one of the models discussed was “data centre tokens”. Such tokens may, in the future, provide incentives, computing resources and may further extend access to subscription services and models.
Trading scene or before paying to land
Zhao Chang Peng believes that AI may be used faster in the area of transactions than in the area of payments. The reason for this is that when consumers shop, even if they find goods by AI, they can eventually be paid for themselves; but, unlike transactions, the speed at which information is gathered and the response to news changes is more critical.
He claims that AI may have brought about about 10 times more efficiency gains in such situations. With regard to the price of bitcoin, he also said that it would be “good” to increase to $1 million and would not necessarily take 25 years.
At the same time, Zhao Chang Peng stressed that he was more concerned about the expansion of the actual use of bitcoin than the price itself, including large-scale payments, and its inclusion in the pension or long-term reserve system.
