In the United States, real-time XRP ETF trading activity has increased while Ripple's stable currency, RLUSD, is expanding. The two developments are synchronized, showing increased financial participation around XRP and XRP Ledger.
Cash ETF has a high turnover
XRP Update, the data provider on the chain, stated that on August 20th, the United States cash XRP ETF single-day trade had reached $125 million, a new high since the product came online. During the same period, the cumulative net inflows in August exceeded $56 million.
This set of data reflects that regulated XRP investment tools are attracting more transactions. For some institutions and traditional market investors, ETF remains a more familiar channel of access to encrypted assets.
RLUSD market value exceeded $2 billion
Ripple's stable currency, RLUSD's market value has exceeded $2 billion. According to the text, nearly US$ 1 billion of its distribution is deployed on XRP Ledger, indicating that its ecological use is expanding on the Ripple chain.
RLUSD was launched in December 2024. Ripple states that this stable currency is supported by a stand-alone cash and cash equivalent reserve and can be converted to the United States dollar at 1 to 1. In addition to XRPL, RLUSD also operates on networks such as the Ether Workshop, which is used mainly for payment, liquidity and settlement.
Two lines of finance are expanding.
The expansion of the ETF has meant an increase in the demand for exposure to the XRP in traditional financial channels; the expansion of the RLUSD has brought more dollar-denominated liquidity to the XRPL. Both have different roles, but are increasing the financial carrying capacity of the Ripple ecology.
Structurally, ETF favours the investment portal, and RLUSD favours payment and settlement tools. If both lines continue to expand, the market participation of XRP and the relevance of the XRPL chain may be further enhanced.
