According to Gate Research, monthly transactions in the global encryption card market have exceeded $1 billion, indicating that digital assets are entering the daily payment scene more quickly. The report states that, as users use encrypted assets for travel, software subscriptions and cross-border payments, the use of such products is no longer limited to small retail consumption.
In 2026, the scale of the deal was significantly increased.
According to Gate Research, since March 2023, the cumulative transaction value of the encrypted card project included in the tracking has exceeded $10 billion. By July 2026, the monthly turnover was over 10.5 million, with a monthly turnover of approximately $1,038 million.
The report also shows that the value of transactions in the first seven months of 2026 was approximately $5.48 billion, which is above the level of approximately $3.8 billion for the entire year of 2025, reflecting the continued expansion of the market in recent years.
- Monthly turnover in July 2026 was approximately $1,038 million
- 2026 Trading in the first seven months of approximately $5.48 billion
- Cumulative transactions since March 2023 exceeded $10 billion
Head platform still has a major share
In terms of market structure, trade volumes remain concentrated in a few platforms. The cumulative value of RedotPay transactions exceeds $6 billion, or approximately 56 per cent of the total amount tracked. The cumulative value of Ether.fi and KAST transactions was approximately $754 million and $684 million, respectively.
The report mentions that, in addition to traditional prepaid models, markets are developing more payment pathways. Some of the products are in the form of immediate debits, which complete the conversion of assets at the time the card is swiped; others require the user to convert or transfer the encrypted assets to the consumer balance. Stabilized currency settlements, smart contract deductions and mortgages for encrypted assets are also used to support payment processes.
Gate Card paid in two ways.
GateCard also supports both immediate consumption and prepayment. Under the current consumption pattern, the user can directly call on the spot account, the current Simple Earth balance or the Gate Pay balance as a source of funds to pay the deductions and conversions from the system when they occur.
If the prepaid model is used, the user needs to convert the asset to the supporting French currency balance before consumption. The card is also linked to the platform ' s internal system of accounts, and users are not required to transfer assets manually between the transaction, financial management and payment accounts.
According to the report, GateCard currently has a T0 to T5 6-deposit mechanism, with up to 8 per cent of eligible consumption. However, the level of return still depends on the grade requirements, the consumption ceiling and the scope of application.
Sector expansion is still at risk in several categories
Despite faster market growth, the report also mentions a number of structural risks associated with encryption card operations, including dependence on banks and card partners, the risk of hosting and smart contracts, the stabilization of currency openings, differences in regulation between different regions, and the sustainability of high return patterns.
Overall, encryption cards are becoming a link between digital assets and traditional payment systems. The report considers that the continued and expanded use of such products will continue to depend on the clarity of the cost structure, the stability of the processing of payments and the continued ease of integration of the Platform ' s accounts.
