OpenSea and Pudgy Penguins will co-host an offline event in New York for collectors in an attempt to put the physical and digital collections on the same scene. The event, called Collector Park, is scheduled for 3 September 2026 and is located in Seward Park, Lower East District of New York.

One day event focused on collection communities

The event lasted one day, from noon to evening. The sponsors defined the target population broadly to cover the use of sneakers, cards, design toys, games around and digital collections. Unlike the traditional, product-by-product fairs, there is more emphasis on overlap between different collection layers.

According to the article, Pudgy Penguins and OpenSea believe that the boundaries of physical collections and chain collections are diminishing and that there are more overlaps between relevant user groups. The event was designed to be a mixed scene, not a single NFT or a current toy exhibition.

There'll be a sale and a deal.

According to the information currently disclosed, brand space, live broadcasts, gifts, live art displays, interactive games, catering areas and community spaces will be set up. The sponsors also plan to arrange for the sale of limited quantities of goods, the delivery of collections, the on-site dismantling of packages, trade-off rest areas and the meeting of creators.

For participants in brands and creators, such activities are both a sales window and an offline access channel. For OpenSea, it was also an attempt to further connect the digital asset trading platform to a wider collection culture.

The two brands are each under the drive.

Pudgy Penguins has continued to extend IP from online communities to toys and physical consumer goods in recent years. OpenSea, for its part, continues to expand its functions beyond the NFT market, such as token transactions, cross-chain conversion and multi-chain asset management. This joint planning exercise shows that both the digital collection platform and the consumer IP brand are seeking wider collection users.

The sponsors indicated that more branding, list of creators and activities would follow. As far as information is concerned, the event is more like a bottom-line test for the collection market, with a focus not on a single product, but on whether a single flow portal can be created in different collection scenarios.
