The AI security company, Cyera, agreed to buy Oasis Security for $1 billion
On 29 July, Techcrunch reported that AI Data Security had announced on Tuesday that it had signed a letter of intent for the purchase of Oasis Security at approximately $1 billion, and that the transactions were expected to be cash-based and the remainder to be paid out of Cyera's shares. Cyera recently completed $600 million in financing at a value of $12 billion. Oasis focused on the security of non-human identities, such as AI agents, and was established in 2022 with a cumulative financing of approximately $195 million, with investors including Accel, Craft Ventures and Cyberstarts. Cyera shares part of the investor with Oasis and has recently acquired successive acquisitions of Ryft and Genie Security, which have led to the Cyera plan to integrate Oasis technology into a unified identity and data security platform. Cyera's annual recurrent income was over $150 million, but it was far from profitable, with a cumulative financing of about $2.3 billion over five years of existence。
