ANALYST: SK HERCULES PUT CONFIDENCE IN AI HARDWARE INVESTMENTS ON THE AMERICAN MARKET
On 10 July, Dickmill Group analyst Patrick Munnelly stated that the sale of $26.5 billion of SK Hercules certificates was expected to contribute to the funding of his AI computing infrastructure investment. “This is exactly the story that stock investors want to see in the fiscal season — not an abstract AI passion, but financing, expansion of capacity, data centre needs and hardware bottlenecks,” he notes. He added that investors were willing to re-purchase Hercules and the Korean chip plate, indicating that they still saw AI prosperity as a structural trend, not just a dynamic trade. The Republic of Korea remains one of the clearest indicators of the risk preferences of AI hardware, with clear signals that AI is still present at a low-buyer. If anything, recent reversals have created clearer entry points for investors who believe that the financial report will validate the capital expenditure cycle. Kim Xian
