THE WORLD'S LARGEST BITCOIN MINING COMPANY, MARA, ANNOUNCED ITS TRANSFORMATION
In an interview, the Managing Director of the world ' s largest-listed Bitcoin mining company, MARA, announced that the company would transition from a single Bitcoin mining company to an energy infrastructure platform with access to land, electricity and data centre resources. With low-cost electricity, heat-appropriate sites and a regulatory environment that welcomes large-scale power use, Bitcoin mining companies seem to have the basic resources to build an AI data centre. Not only MARA, Core Scientific, TeraWulf, IREN... A group of Bitcoin mining companies are shifting their bows, turning the mine into an AI data centre, taking on a credit order from a tech giant. This pressure at the resource level has also evolved further into capital markets. In October 2025, Bitcoin stopped at a historic high of about $126,000. As at 29 July 2026, the price of bitcoin hovered around $64,000, with the higher point falling by almost half. The fall is even worse in the Ether and Solana. (21 FINANCE)
