Morgan Chase pushed forward the Fed interest rate increase to December
On 30 July, Chase Morgan currently expects the Fed to increase interest rates in December, earlier than it had anticipated in the second half of 2027. “At a press conference in Walsh, once again, he failed to make clear how he intended to realize his strong claim to anti-inflation resolve,” the chief American economist Michael Ferroli wrote in a report. The Chairman also questioned whether the PCE would remain a Federal Reserve inflation target, “both of which raise questions as to whether the new Chairman would be able to achieve the inflation reduction goal”. This, in turn, may create a greater sense of urgency for other members of the Federal Reserve Committee to discharge their responsibilities. “We do not regard this amendment as a market `pressure' of the Fed, but as yet another challenge that prompts the Fed to act to preserve its credibility.” (New Wave)
