The Korea Finance Commission announced that it had completed the draft Digital Assets Framework Bill or would include AI Agent payments

On 30 July, the Korea Finance Commission (FSC) announced that it had completed the draft Digital Assets Framework Bill, and that only some of the remaining matters still needed to be coordinated, and that the legislative process would be expedited as soon as possible as the agenda for the second half of the Korean Congress was set. It was informed that the Republic of Korea was considering including in the Digital Assets Framework Act the legal basis for AI Agent payments in response to the future trend of AI becoming a small, high-frequency payer, and that the proposal included providing legal authorization for the regulatory framework for AI Agent payments to establish customer identification (KYC), allocation of payment responsibilities, foreign exchange declarations for cross-border transactions and programmable payment criteria。
