NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CARITY BILL: SENATE VOTING OR JULY
Coinpedia reported that the CLARITY bill was about to mark the first anniversary of its adoption by the Chamber of Deputies, but that the Senate vote was still missing. In an interview with Fox Business, the Arkansas Deputy Law Rench Hill stated that ethical disputes remained the main obstacle. The Chairman of CTC, Michael Selig, pointed out that the negotiations had been complicated by ethical issues arising from the Turkish family ' s investments in encryption. In his view, additional ethical provisions were “disrupting the real opportunity for a bipartisan bill”. Hill commended the bipartisan senators and expressed the hope that consensus would be reached as soon as possible. He stressed that many of the concerns would be addressed and the market would be provided with transparency if the CLARITY bill were passed last summer. Hill also mentioned that the planned hearings in New York would highlight the need for a market framework。
