Two major shipping giants restarted the Suez Canal
On 7 July, the Danish Maski Shipping Group announced on 6 July that it would rely on a “twin seat” network of cooperation with two major shipping companies, the German company Herberot, to allow some of the vessels under the flag to resume using the Suez Canal route. The major global shipping companies initially chose to bypass the African continent, avoiding the Red Sea, the Mande Strait and the Suez Canal, starting in November 2023. At that time, as a new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict broke out, Yemeni Al-Houthi forces attacked Israeli-affiliated vessels in waters such as the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, forcing flights to avoid the Suez Canal。
