Morgan Stanley led an investment of $15 billion in Anthropic Texas Park

The data centre developer, Nexus Data Centers, is preparing about $15 billion in financing for the construction of the AI Data Centre campus in Hubbard, Texas, United States, which will be leased by Anthropic in the future, with Morgan Stanley leading the related bank financing. According to the report, the subject of the financing is Nexus Data Centers, not Anthropic itself. Google will use its own investment-grade credit rating to guarantee the Anthropic lease obligations and associated energy agreements, involving four data centre leasing projects and one 1.6 GW gas power plant. In exchange, Google expects to receive approximately 20 per cent of the shares in the data centre and energy project. According to industry sources, the deal reflects the fact that AI infrastructure is increasingly dependent on the balance sheets of large technology companies。
