Encrypted host Bitgo CEO challenged Anthropic “AI hacker risk” with 100 BTCs

On 3 August, the encrypted hosting agency, Bigo CEO Mike Belshe, deposited 100 BTCs at an open bitcoin address on 1 August, valued at approximately $6.3 million at the current price, and invited Anthropic to try to transfer funds from the address under the Claude model. The chain records that the wallet was received on 31 July and that the balance had not been transferred as at 2 August. Anthropic previously disclosed that three incidents were detected in 141006 network security assessment operations, and six assessment sessions involved three model unexpected interactions with the real organization system. The relevant models include Claude Opus 4.7, Claude Mythos 5 and an unpublished internal research model, as a result of a third-party test partner, Irregular, whose configuring error led to a test environment connected to the Internet. The challenge in Belshe concerned the Bitgo hosting platform, which used multiple signatures or multiple computing techniques to decentralize signature rights to multiple independent keys. Anthropic had not responded publicly to this challenge as of 2 August。
