A 100 per cent utilization rate is expected to be achieved during the year of the three-star electronic crystal round-generation operation

It is expected that the three-star electronics-based Foundry (Crystal) operations will achieve 100 per cent capacity utilization in the second half of the year. Currently, the utilization rate for the operation is estimated at between 70 and 80 per cent, and, given the existing backlog of orders and ongoing contract negotiations, there is a general perception within and outside the company that it is almost certain that this objective will be achieved. Analysts expect that non-storage operations, including Foundation and Systems LSI, are likely to be profitable in the third and by the fourth quarters at the earliest. Korea Daily Journal
