MOO: THE AI PLATE IS UNLIKELY TO BE THE MAIN DRIVER OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE RETURN

On 3 August, Morgan Chase strategists argued that, as the market performance spreads to more plates, it is unlikely that the technology unit or artificial intelligence-related stocks will be the main driver of market returns in the second half of the year. The team, led by Mislav Matejka, stated that most of the sales of the kinetic trade may have ended and that the semiconductor unit is now close to oversold, as the team wrote in its report: “This should help to stabilize the stock in question, as each share of the revenue is still up”. However, strategists expect that market performance will continue to spread to more plates and reiterate that, owing to geopolitical tensions, investors are advised to buy low. It was also expected that the Fed would “maintain as relaxed as possible” and thus contribute to a decline in bond yields or a weakening of the dollar, both of which would support the stock market。
