BANK OF RICH COUNTRIES: THE AI INVESTMENT BOOM WILL DRIVE THE RISE IN TRADITIONAL INDUSTRIAL UNITS
On 5 August, the Bank of Rich Countries strategist Ohsung Kwon looked forward to a growing data centre building that would benefit the industrial plate. He indicated that the capital enterprise currently producing machines, equipment and tools for the construction of the data centre was one of the “nearest artificial intelligence concepts” equities. The Bank of Rich Countries estimates that manufacturing activity expanded at the most rapid rate in July, over four years, with non-artificial intelligence-related capital expenditure increasing by 10 per cent over the same period last year. In addition, growth in commercial and industrial loans has accelerated. In recent months, traders have begun to favour the so-called “traditional economy” block, pushing for a 20-per-cent rise in industrial stock this year, which is behind the energy and information technology block. Kwon estimates that approximately 40 new mega-data centres are currently under construction, with more than 100 more in the planning phase, mainly in Texas, Georgia, Virginia and Pennsylvania. “If economic gains from the areas in which the data centres have been put into operation are indeed a new trend, we are at a very early stage of this spillover.”
