LONG-TERM LPDDR6 START A RISK TEST: LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION IS EXPECTED WITHIN WEEKS
On 5 August, according to fast-track technology, the latest LPDDR6 memory project under the long-stamp storage flag has made significant progress and is now entering the risk trial phase, with international storage giants, such as Samsung, SK Hercules and Mei-Lange, almost equalizing manufacturing processes and technological iterative progress. It has been revealed that Changsung is currently actively distributing samples to mainstream mobile phone manufacturers and computing platforms for validation, and that once the prototype tests have met expectations, the national production of LPDDR6 is expected to enter a large-scale production phase during the year and, given its previous efficiency in capacity-building, the risk test and post-partum production window period could be reduced to weeks. The earlier pace of follow-up by domestic storage producers on advanced standards was often more than six months behind that of the international giant, and the test of the long-stamp LPDDR6 had meant that low domestic capacity and high-bandwidth technology had been at the forefront of the world, significantly reducing the time gap with the top global levels. In terms of specifications, the initial LPDDR6 chips have reached 12.8 Gbps, while the general LPDDR6 benchmark rate is 10.7 Gbps, and the current LPDDR5X can reach 10.7 Gbps only in a maximum hyperfrequency state, which means that a new generation memory, even in a regular state, increases bandwidth performance by about 20 per cent over the previous generation。
