Coinbase is a British MiFID licence and will provide derivatives and stock transactions to British users

According to Coinbase's official blog, Coinbase, the United States Head Encryption Exchange, has officially obtained a MiFID license issued by the British Financial Conduct Regulatory Authority (FCA). Following Coinbase’s election to the FCA Encoded Asset Register in February 2025, its regulatory qualifications in the British market have been upgraded again, making it the most widely held front-line encryption trading platform in the UK. With this license, Coinbase can conduct all-round financial services, such as secret derivatives transactions, agency brokers, investment advisories and so forth, for British compliance purposes, no longer limited to spot transactions and asset hosting。
