President of Iran: Willing to remain in communication, but never waiting for any outside power

On 10 August, Iranian President Pezehiziang, speaking of external forces, stated that if we wait and look to outside forces, we will be defeated. There is no real alternative to our own identity and people. We are committed to engaging with the outside world, but it would be tantamount to declaring our failure if they were expected to fulfil our aspirations and wait for their actions.
