There are reports that British regulators are working on a monetization gold framework
On 10 August, according to media reports, British regulators are working on the development of a regulatory framework for monetization of gold as part of a plan to digitize financial markets and to maintain the status of the Global Gold Trading Centre in London. The British Financial Conduct Regulatory Authority has initiated discussions with industry institutions, including large banks, on how to regulate monetized gold. In the coming months, the regulator is expected to announce plans to develop regulatory standards in this area. (FIA)
