THE TOTAL SIZE OF ETF IS APPROACHING $5 TRILLION

On 11 August, since the second half of this year, the overall size of the ETF (Transaction Open Index Fund) has been growing. The Wind data show that, as of 10 August, the ETF share had increased by 374.2 billion, to 3.4 trillion, over the second half of the year; the total size had increased by 25.34 billion yuan, to 4.99 trillion yuan, just one step from 5 trillion yuan. Data show that 48 new ETF products were issued in the second half of the year, totalling 1629. Of these, the most significant increase was in finance, with 31 funds tracking; the most significant increase was in semiconductor material equipment; and the most significant gain was in gold equities.
