Todd Blanche was sworn in as Attorney General of the United States
On 11 August, local time, Todd Blanche was officially sworn in as the United States Attorney General on 10 August. Trump announced on 2 April that Pam Bundy was no longer Minister of Justice and was represented by Deputy Minister Blanche. On 8 June, the United States White House indicated that President Trump had submitted to the United States Senate the nomination of Todd Blanche as Attorney General. In the early hours of 8 August, the United States Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as Attorney General by a vote of 50 in favour and 49 against. (observed)
