The 24-hour round-the-clock deal will start on September 11th
On 11 August, CME announced today that the 100 ounces of silver futures contract under the flag would be extended to all-weather transactions on 11 September 2026, pending regulatory review. Jin Hennig, Managing Director of the Chicago Commodity Exchange Group and Global Manager of Metal Operations, said: “Golden connects the two worlds of precious metals and industrial metals, both as a tool of diversification for investors and in response to macroeconomic news and physical demand. Our retail clients show a strong demand for one ounce of gold futures to be traded whenever they are needed, so we now extend the same day-to-day trading authority to silver to help participants manage risks and opportunities.” Since 24 July, when one ounce of gold futures was introduced, more than 53,000 contracts, with a nominal value of approximately $219 million, have accumulated in the new weekends, becoming the most mobile market for gold futures weekends。
