Iran ' s Supreme National Security Council: the Strait will not open as long as the United States does not accept Iran ' s terms

On 11 August, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme State Security Council, Rezai, issued a statement: “The United States is the manufacturer of insecurity in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman, putting the entire region at risk by imposing an illegal war on Iran. The Strait of Hormuz will not reopen as long as the United States does not change its behaviour and does not accept Iran ' s conditions. The United States must end the war and pay for the frozen funds of Iran, and the war in the entire region, including Lebanon and Gaza, must end, in addition to meeting other conditions communicated to the United States through intermediaries. If Iran and Oman reach an agreement on a transit corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, the agreement will be treated separately from the issue of the Strait blockade.”
