Ben Goertzel: AI will change everything in two years, including your work

Ben Goertzel stated that he had worked in the General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) field for 50 years and was building this technology. He mentioned that in the next two years AI would begin to change everything, including people ' s work. He noted that, once a machine of human-level thinking had emerged, it would be able to assume all of the economic activities of humanity. He also highlighted a low-priority transition period in which AI was good enough to replace work, but the system was not yet ready to provide any safeguards, safety nets and response programmes. He discussed how the entire United States economy had become a huge bet on the AI takeover and what would happen if it failed. In his view, universal basic income (UBI) would become inevitable, and it was pointed out that block chains were key technologies to prevent this future from being dominated by a few technological giants。
