Pakistan: All efforts are being made to bring the US and Iran back to the negotiating table

At a press conference, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Tahir Andrabi, stated that the Minister of the Interior of Pakistan, Nakwi, had arrived in Tehran on 11 September and was meeting with senior Iranian officials. The purpose of the Nakvi visit to Iran was to discuss bilateral relations, security-related issues and regional developments, in particular regional peace and stability. Andrabi also stated: “Pakistan is doing its utmost to bring the US and Iran back to the negotiating table and to implement the Me and Iran Memorandum of Understanding to pave the way for peace and stability in the region.” (Supra)
