Standard Chartered leads the Anchorpoint roll-out of Hong Kong dollar stabilization
The standard Chartered-led company, Anchorpoint Finance, has begun to roll out its HK$-supported stabilization currency, HKDAP, focusing on institutional payments and settlements. After obtaining one of the first two issuance licences in Hong Kong, the HashKey Exchange and OSL Group, as authorized distributors, allowed eligible agencies to access HKDAP through their applications. HashKey completed its first casting and foreclosure transaction, including the exchange of HKDAP and French currency. Angelpoint plans to use distributors to introduce the coin into financial applications such as payment and settlement. HKDAP represents "Hong Kong dollar parity" (Hong Kong dollar parity), a stable currency is a encrypted currency linked to a French currency, widely used to finance encrypted transactions and to facilitate cross-border capital flows. The Hong Kong Stable Currency Regulation came into force on 1 August 2025 and requires the issuer to obtain a licence and meet the relevant criteria. As another initial licence holder, HSBC Bank is preparing its stabilization currency for the second half of 2026。
