Apple appointed a new head of government

On 13 August, Apple (AAPL.O) appointed Nate Gatten, former head of government of the United States Aviation Group, as Vice-President of Government, with responsibility for global government affairs, to take office on 31 August. Garten was the head of the United States aviation government from 2017 to this year, and was previously in charge of government relations at Morgan Chase. According to the source, Apple would like to appoint a person who can maintain good communication with the Trump Government to address policy challenges such as tariffs. In recent years, Apple CEO Cook has devoted more energy to dealing with White House relations. The restructuring was also part of the recent top-level changes in Apple, and Cook planned to relinquish the CEO post on 1 September, with John Tenus, the head of hardware, taking over, but would continue to serve as Executive Director。
