American-Lebanese discussions on the establishment of a Security Management Committee to facilitate Israel's withdrawal from the “pilot zone”

On 12 July, the United States Mission was discussing in Lebanon the establishment of a special committee for security and management, according to sources quoted by Alabia Television, Saudi Arabia. The delegation discussed a programme of action to implement (Israel's) withdrawal from the “pilot zone”. The Lebanese side had previously made it necessary for Israel to withdraw from the two test zones before it could participate in the mediation conference in Rome.
