BRITISH CROSS-PARTY APPG WROTE TO THE MAIN BANK ASKING FOR CLARIFICATION ON THE POLICY FOR THE OPENING OF AN ENCRYPTED BUSINESS

British cross-party encryption and digital assets APPG has written to CEOs of HSBC, NatWest, Santander UK, Starling and other major banks to request information on their specific policies for opening accounts, payment and transfer restrictions for encrypted enterprises. Parliamentarians stated that the restriction of banking services was becoming one of the main obstacles to the expansion of the British encryption industry, and argued that banks should review their own risk profile, rather than unify restrictions simply because they were engaged in encryption. The survey will gather industry input by 31 August and plan to submit policy recommendations to the Government。
