Net income from block-chain lending firm Figure in the second quarter increased by between $113 and $226 million per year
On 13 August, CoinDesk reported that the second-quarter financial report released by Figure Technology Solutions (FIGR), a joint block-chain lending company created by former Chief Executive Officer Mike Cagney, earned $226 million, an increase of 113 per cent over the same period. Net profits increased by between 192 and $87 million. The increase was mainly due to the Figure consumer loan market, which had traded $4.3 billion, an increase of 132 per cent over the same period. Its platform linking loan sponsors and finance providers contributed $2.8 billion, about 65 per cent of total transactions. FIGR shares increased by about 5% before the 4th of the week, continuing the 10% increase on Wednesday。
