FURTHER DELAY IN THE UNITED STATES SEC TOKEN INNOVATION EXEMPTION, DETAILS NOT YET AVAILABLE
On 14 August, Fox Business encryption journalist wrote on platform X that, according to an informed source, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s waiver for token innovation would be further delayed and the details would not be made public for the time being. According to the source, one of the reasons may be that the monetization component of section 10505 of the Clarity Act has been the subject of repeated consultations among stakeholders, and any action taken by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission through an innovative exemption could affect the compromise on that provision. This means that the exemption may remain on hold until the way forward of the Clarity Act becomes clearer. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission is still planning to hold a public meeting tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. to propose new regulations and exemptions for fund-raising transactions involving encrypted assets, namely, Regulation Crystal Assemblys。
