Metaplanet completed its first edition of the "BitBonds" with a total size of about Yen200 million
On 14 August, according to a letter from Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich, Metaplanet has set up a “BitBonds” bond issue plan and completed its first issuance. The company issued the twenty-first to twenty-fourth issues of unguaranteed general bonds under the Japanese small-scale private collection system, with a total size of approximately Yen200 million, through Metaplanet Securities, which is fully owned under the flag. Gerovich stated that the launch was small and was primarily a pilot, aimed at establishing a framework for the subsequent issuance, distribution and management of BitBonds. BitBonds, an unsecured general bond, did not use bitcoin held by Metaplanet as collateral. Metaplanet will build further on its Bitcoin reserve balance sheet, as well as on the financial product distribution, distribution and management capabilities of the undersigned securities companies。
