National Bank of Israel proposed to provide services for encrypted currency transactions
According to Israeli media Calcalist, Bank Leumi and Galaxy Digital entered into a cooperation agreement to provide digital asset trading services to the bank and PEPPER platform clients, who can purchase, hold and sell parts of the encrypted currency, including bitcoin, Taifah, Solana, through the Leumi Trade application, which is expected to open in early 2027, subject to approval by the Central Bank of Israel. Under cooperative arrangements, Galaxy Digital ' s block-link infrastructure and hosting services will be connected to the bank system, including Galaxy Custody (formerly GK8) responsible for the private key management of digital assets and the physical hosting of assets, and transactions will be completed in an independent security area within the Leumi Trade application。
