Lynq CEO: Digital currency requires an interoperable settlement system

Lynq CEO Jerald David stated that institutional finance required an interoperable clearing system capable of moving cash and collateral around the clock to accommodate the introduction of multiple digital currencies. He noted that the Bank of England ' s latest digital pound experiment provided early indications on how the institutional market would use multiple digital currencies. According to David, stable currencies, token deposits, monetized money market funds, potential CBDCs and traditional banking currencies can all play different roles depending on the counterparty, jurisdiction and type of transaction。
