Robinwood's $225.5 million risk fund is open at below IPO prices
Reuters reported that Robinhood Ventures Fund II had raised $225.5 million and opened on the New York Stock Exchange at $22.50, less than 10 per cent of its $25 initial public equity (IPO) price. The Fund provides individual investors with access to early corporate investment opportunities that are usually open only to venture capital companies and wealthy investors. The Fund ' s listing resulted in the release of 8 million shares, previously reported, at a price of $25, raising $200 million. Robinhod designed the Fund to invest in private companies in the early and growing stages, as distinct from its first. The Fund ' s investment strategy focuses on businesses established by Y Combinator current or former participants and other companies associated with the entrepreneurship accelerator network。
