On 15 August, the founder of Binance, CZ, indicated that, as of August 2026, more than 2007 million bitcoin had been dug, leaving only about 4.4 per cent of the supply to be dug. I estimate that 10-20 per cent of the existing bitcoin has been lost, stuck or not recovered. It is a deflationary asset。
