How backward is Europe's AI

OneMillion AI reports that Europe's AI is lagging behind, and Mistral plans to achieve 1 GW by 2030, while Meta expects to reach 14 GW next year. Mistral plans to achieve 200 MW by 2027, for which long-term computing contracts are being signed with European enterprises such as ASML, CMA CGM. By contrast, American AI companies like Meta are expected to reach 7 GW this year and will double directly to 14 GW by 2027. OpenAI has locked over 10 GW U.S. AI infrastructure and added 3 GW in the last 90 days. Anthropic, for its part, has signed a long-term agreement with Amazon and Google for a maximum of 5 GW, which Amazon plans to provide close to 1 GW by the end of this year。
