Westpac: The United States dollar faces structural resistance and an increase in the EUR/USD and GBP/USD is expected
Westpac states that the structural resistance of the United States dollar exceeds its recent resilience and is expected to rise in EUR/USD and GBP/USD. The bank noted that the United States dollar had fluctuated over the past month, but eventually collected 99.5 per cent, indicating that the market remained hesitant. Westpac argued that the smooth performance of the United States dollar masked its slow structural transformation and that fiscal and political resistance was increasing, although the market was now in favour of more Fed interest rates. The aim of the line is to reach 1.21 for the EUR/USD and 1.39 for the GBP/USD by the end of 2027。
