Empery Digital sells half bitcoin to AI Data Center
On 12 July, the Bitcoin Reserve Company Empery Digital (EMPD) disclosed that 1,400 BTCs had been sold over the past two months at an average sale price of $6.22 million, with a total of approximately $8.71 million available for investment in the AI Data Centre project and debt repayment. Some of the funds were used to acquire 25 per cent of the shares in an AI data centre project, while another $10 million was used to service outstanding debts. As a result of this sale, Empery Digital had a 48 per cent reduction in its bitcoin hold and currently held 1,514 BTCs, valued at approximately $97 million at current prices. In response to the news, the EMPD stock exchange rose by 4.2 per cent at the beginning and eventually by 1.58 per cent. According to the market, investors have a positive attitude towards companies converting some bitcoin reserves into AI infrastructure investments。
