Mortgage interest rates continue to rise: 30-year interest rate decline remains to be verified

Mortgage rates rose on the third consecutive day of Tuesday, with fixed mortgage rates of 6.75 per cent over a 30-year period. Despite a slight improvement in bonds, the timing of the pricing by the lending institutions led to such mismatches. Data from Zillow show a mortgage interest rate of 7.05 per cent, a figure that allows fixed interest rates for a 30-year period to be temporarily maintained below the psychological 7 per cent line. Most forecasters expect that interest rates will not return to near 5 per cent for the remainder of 2026, although a few believe that, if the Fed declines again, mortgage rates may gradually converge to 6 per cent。
