Arthur Hayes returns to the Flop Labs AI network

The co-founder of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes, announced on 18 August that he would “return” to head the Flop Labs, a new project to develop an artificially intelligent sector block chain infrastructure. Hayes stated in the bulletin that the original token for the network, Flop, would be introduced without pre-sale or risk investment allocation, stating that its allocation was “100 per cent fair start”. Flop Labs is expected to fly in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the goal of launching the inaugural block of the Flop network in the first quarter of 2027. Hayes indicated that he would “lead” Flop Labs, but did not state his duties, ownership or remuneration. His social media material is now marked as the chief executive officer of the company, while retaining the position of chief investment officer in Maelstrom. Flop Labs introduced the network through its official social media account, and has not yet disclosed the full development team, legal entity, headquarters or jurisdiction. The project plans to enable autonomous software agents to purchase computing capacity, data storage and other digital services using the Flop tokens。
