Trump opened the bitcoin door, and US debt broke $40 trillion
Trump opened the possibility of bitcoin at a time when the United States owed more than $40 trillion. According to Ministry of Finance data, as at 19 August, total public debt had reached an alarming $40.49 trillion. Of that amount, some $32,266 million was held by the public, while $7,782 million was owed by Washington to federal accounts, including trust funds. Since Trump assumed the presidency, total debt has more than doubled from approximately $19.95 trillion。
