Commercial shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has declined significantly

On 12 July, following Iran ' s announcement of a further closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the flow of commercial shipping in the Strait declined significantly. The commercial shipping tracking data cited by the Iranian side indicate that only 11 commercial vessels have passed through the Straits of Hormuz in the past 24 hours, including 8 tankers and 3 cargo vessels.
